What is the mission of the FaB Network?
. Our purpose is to connect and promote food and beverage (FaB) businesses in the SW PA region.
How does membership benefit food businesses and supporters?
. We believe that regional food and beverage businesses working collaboratively create new customers for themselves and the region. Our members share information, ideas, and resources to grow their businesses and make our regional food economy all the more effective and vibrant. In association with FaB, you can attract new business, find new customers, learn from peers, and receive free promotion.
What food businesses do you focus on?
. Typical food businesses include: - Packaged food products - Fresh foods - Foods sold direct - Caterers - Restaurants - Mobile and farm markets Typical food business supporters: - Industry vendors - Financial service providers - Technical assistance providers - Public sector support -FaB supporting nonprofits
What geographic area does the Pittsburgh Region FaB Network represent?
. We support FaB businesses in the SWPA Commission's 10 counties: - Allegheny - Armstrong - Beaver - Butler - Fayette - Green - Indiana - Lawrence - Washington - Westmoreland
How is Pittsburgh Region FaB Network organized?
. The Pittsburgh Region FaB Network is an initiative of the nonprofit Food21 of Pennsylvania, whose mission is to build a resilient and sustainable food economy in the Pittsburgh region.
Why does FaB maintain two separate Facebook newsfeeds?
. We began with a members-only MEMBERSHIP NETWORK newsfeed on Facebook, which we developed for member-to-member news. We have added a new PROMOTION NEWSFEED group to highlight and promote our members. Food businesses and supporters who join the Pittsburgh Region Food and Beverage Network through our website have access to both newsfeeds.
What does it cost to join the Pittsburgh Region FaB?
. For qualifying food businesses and supporters, there is no charge to join. Sponsorship options are available.

What is the purpose of the FaB Promotion Newsfeed?
. The purpose of the FaB Promotion Newsfeed is to advertise and highlight FaB member businesses to the public. We use the platform to publish news and information from members and to help the public find and patronize Pittsburgh region food businesses. FaB shares member news and events on the newsfeed page, using contact information supplied by the member. The FaB Promotion Newsfeed is intended for business development, not product reviews.
What are the benefits of engaging with the FaB Promotion Newsfeed?
. The public can use the FaB Promotion Newsfeed to find and connect with interesting food businesses in the region. The network promotes member special events, products and services, and business capabilities. The public can utilize member-supplied contact information to reach out directly to food businesses they want to learn more about. FaB members can utilize the FaB Promotion Newsfeed as a free platform to get their products, services, and special events in front of a wider audience that is looking to support regional food businesses. Members can monitor new information shared by peers and work within the FaB members-only group to build business relationships.

. Information is supplied by members, representing all the public points of contact they care to share (web, social links, email, phone, etc.). For more detailed member-to-member conversations, we maintain a FaB Members Newsfeed for registered FaB members.
Who can advertise on the FaB Promotion Newsfeed?
. FaB members are welcome to supply information and links for publication (details below). To join the Pittsburgh Region FaB Network, businesses need to complete our membership questionnaire here: https://www.fabpittsburgh.org/joinfab
How do members advertise on the FaB Promotion Newsfeed?
. Members can submit a link to share to the site. If no specific link exists, please submit: 1. Your headline 2. Your promotion copy 3. Graphic/photo (JPG preferred) 4. Any relevant links We typically publish one submission per week per member. Everyone can share posts and links from the FaB Promotion Newsfeed as a part of their marketing campaigns.
